~~~ Wilcox Snellings ~~~
Imagine the days of the Riverboats, the long black coats,
the smoke, the gambling... and the mystique of it all ...
Wilcox Snellings has so far led a very colorful life, the type that most people go to the movies to see. He has traveled the world and was ultimately considered the top backgammon player in the world. He had thoughts of becoming a lawyer yet the gambling world beckoned his demons and outlaw fantasies. The headmaster of his high school once said he'd either be President of the US or a riverboat gambler. Since a young child, throughout the colorful tapestry of Wilcox's life was woven a spiritually minded free thinker. And no wonder, Wilcox says "in our Henderson home, we have a framed embroidery hung high near the front entrance. It reads 'Todo es posible en nuestra casa' - Everything is possible in our house. I feel that way about my life." (He will send a photo... someday. We do know he is real, he visited us in California.
Multiple potentials, his classmates thought he'd be first to make a million, a wise man who worked for his grandmother though he would be a minister and his grandmother said a poet. Perhaps he is all of those. His insight into the gambling mind, particularly those who start as children, reveal a much misunderstood mentality and Wilcox tells us more about that, as well as "Risk Taking" not how most might think. His passion now, is to be a "Reminder."
