Susan Burns is WA State representative for The Institute of Noetic Sciences, a pioneer position at IONS which developed out of her role as Stewardship Council representative for the IONS Northwest groups. She is joyfully and energetically, along with IONS's new president James O'Dea, bringing the "personal touch" of grassroots community groups to IONS. Susan's Seattle group builds awareness through open meetings and events. Its mission is that of IONS which seeks to expand awareness, educate by bridging science and consciousness, and catalyze a shift in consciousness. Her group is also a platform for integrating diverse interest groups in the NW, an area of the country which has a large network of grass roots organizations, bringing together IONS leaders and social change leaders in general. Susan currently hosts regular gatherings for leaders centered not only on networking but shifting consciousness through personal growth. The work is dedicated toward building communities of leaders fostering a new paradigm model for cooperative social change within the NW.

All of this along with continuing her private practice as a psychotherapist and advanced clinical hypnotherapist, integrating expressive and body/mind therapies.Susan values personal transformation and experiential process. She is a consultant in social learning for children, having led unique children's therapy groups in Seattle, and recently presented at IONS Child Spirit Conference on Social Healing. Her work also focuses on adult development and transition, integrating a rich toolkit of experiential technologies gathered over 33 years of working with people seeking change, and from her own depth work.
