"The Art of the Sword"
The seven levels of the sword, starting with seeing the world as separate from yourself and through technique, timing, rhythm, harmony, safety, unity, one comes to see there is no separation, we are all one. It's all about consciousness and how this applies to daily life, the real battle is within. We can achieve a sense of groundedness, and when attacked stay at peace. There is a stillness in teaching the sword, stillness in moving, and recognizing stillness in each person. "Just our presence alone can have a powerful effect." Stories: The cherry blossom story in Japan, the stalled car, two ice creams in Big Sur, and the apparently homeless chap who winks at himself in the mirror. "Training with the sword is really about connecting to different people on several levels." "How to Deal with Difficult People"
How? Stay away from them! Seriously, often people have internal resistance because they feel they haven't been heard. Michael explains the best and 'worst' thing to do with attacks and conflicting opinions. Stories and examples show how to change negative situations by using the same principles found in the art of Aikido. If these things are too difficult to do then maybe *we* are the difficult person! "Making Conscious Connections"
Developing a strong sense of being. Walk into a room, how does the energy change? How do we impact others? Being aware of all things in your environment, walking on the rice paper. It's more comfortable to stay the same even though we are miserable, the problem is some people are uncomfortable at an 'acceptable' level. In the east it is spirit/mind/body, in the west body/mind/spirit. We really choose who we want to be... in the need to blame or loving nature, an undercurrent of turbulence and petty negativity. How much emotional energy is spent on limitation? From the "Forgiveness" CD people are experiencing spontaneous forgiveness! "Forgive means change ...maybe not exact change."
