"10mph"
A wonderful documentary by a couple of aspiring filmmakers who wanted to do something special. They threw everything including caution to the wind, quit their cubicle jobs, and set off on a trek from Seattle to Boston on America's back roads on a two-wheeled Segway scooter to see the world in a different way, at 10mph... Josh on the Segway, Hunter in the car + trailer directing the 100 day trek along with sister Gannon Weeks and a cool dog named "Alby", (what's a road trip without a dog?) Once out of the city and on the open road Josh had a cool feeling, "We know we were meant to do this." In spite of obstacles, like running out of money, their conviction would let nothing stop them. They stay positive because "being negative you can't accomplish as much, with life's adversities it pays to stay positive." Meeting so many new people, living a gamut of experiences, really shifted their perspective, "there's a lot of goodness out there, it's amazing to see what the world is like when you get out of your own convention." [ED] We liked this film very much, "10mph" isn't slow as one may expect, it's actually very full! What's next? "10 Yards" Fantasy Football, a different type of travel.
